Looking Back...
The girls have been pestering me to write a blog, which I have kept pushing back and back now for weeks but with our 5th birthday next month, I’ve started to reflect on our journey.
5 years has honestly flown, for those who have been around since day one you’d have seen us morph into who we are today.
Double Tap Agency (DTA) has grown with me, at every stage reflecting who I am, at that moment in time.
DTA now is by far the one I’m most proud of. We stand for something I truly believe in, we are striving to do better and with that, help our clients do the same. But most of all I’m most proud of the fact that although my world may have been falling apart around me, DTA stayed strong, it supported me and my talented team, it got me outta bed daily. It gave me purpose, seeing my clients succeed, learning from incredible business people and working alongside my girls to build some damn epic marketing campaigns. That’s shit I’m proud of.
Today the business reflects the way I choose to live my life. We work with people who not only want to see their business succeed, they want us to as well. They lift us up just as much as we lift them. We work with clients who see the value in what we do and trust us with their babies.
As we grow, they grow.
We focus on conscious marketing, leaving a positive impact on the world and those who we encounter through our client’s incredible brands whilst also practising what we preach.
As I look back, if there was something I would tell myself it would be “work, life balance is key”.
Flogging yourself, doing it all on your own, working all hours of the day and night, insane stress levels, neglecting your mental and physical health. That shit won’t get you to where you want to be, it will only slow you down or stop you completely in your tracks.
Delegate, bring people on board who support you, know your limits, priorities ‘me’ time, make time for people who fuel your fire, sleep is crucial, relax, just do the stuff you love regularly. With that when at work you’ll be firing on all cylinders.
Running a business is a team effort. I’m damn proud of myself but more so of my team. Each of us has played a role in our success and that of our clients.
Bring on the next 12 months!! But first I’m signing off til mid Jan, practicing that work life balance 😉
