Double Tap Goes North

Hello Northern Rivers…

It’s been a long time in the pipeline and now, we’ve arrived!. The last 4.5 years have been one heck of a journey for Double Tap Agency and one I’m so proud of. As an agency owner, I’ve managed to navigate the ever-changing business and digital marketing landscape while navigating my own life at the same time.

Both with their ups and downs, both forging their own path. It's clear to those who have been on the journey that over the years DTA has shifted gears (maybe a few times), we’ve taken on many shapes and will continue to do so. One of those shifts has seen us land in Bangalow, NSW.

I’d always had a plan to move north, the Northern Rivers was a little further than my original plan but one that fits so perfectly with my personal lifestyle and that of Double Tap Agency.

Behind the scenes I have been diving deep into understanding sustainable and ethical marketing practices more deeply, how I can make a positive impact, engaging in wholesome and supportive connections, building a community around me that lifts me up and in turn lifts up DTA.

The last 18 months have been a lot for all of us, however, as a business owner, it also gave me time to stop, reflect and ultimately decide what I really wanted for myself and my business.

In that time I have met some of the most incredible people, people I will treasure forever, people who taught me to write my own story, chase what feels right and grow, not only emotionally but intellectually. Ultimately landing me in a place where I decided to take on a new challenge, all with the support and abundance of love from my day ones (those that DTA and I most certainly cannot survive without).

I opened my coworking space, The Loft, right on 2 years ago, DTA’s hub. In August 2021 I closed her doors, a place I poured my heart and soul into, from the scribbled design I did on a paper towel in my parents’ kitchen, to the long days and nights where I worked as the labourer (I literally gyprocked the whole place, when they say blood, sweat and tears went into it, I can vouch for it) to my carpenter so she (The Loft) could come to life, to the many awesome campaign shoots, the events and the endless laughs I had with my team and those who shared my pretty little space, I am so damn grateful. She is now occupied by a business that I know will love and cherish her as much as everyone who walked through her doors prior.

Although our HQ has taken on a new family, so has DTA, and it's one that is so perfectly suited to the times.. With the new landscape, the nature of work we do and the systems we have in place, the team of DTA now works remotely, from The Northern Rivers to The Northern Beaches to Brisbane. While I have only just in the last month packed up and moved to Bangalow, we’ve been operating as a largely remote team for much of the last 18 months, and although I miss seeing everyone's faces first thing in the morning, this new way of working suits us both individually, and as a forward-thinking and adaptable team.

We continue to produce content we are proud of, work with people we adore, move along our path to becoming a fully sustainable agency (watch this space), all while living the lives we choose for ourselves and the ones we love.

I believe this move not only supports the growth of our clients and that of my team, myself and DTA. I believe that if we are all living our truths, growing, learning & challenging ourselves we ultimately become our best selves, which reflects in our work. It opens us up to new opportunities, new people and new areas to expand our knowledge, empowering us to produce endless successful campaigns. I’m damn excited for what the next chapter holds and I hope you come on the journey with us.

It’s one you’re going to want to be a part of, It's a goodie!
