MEET ELIZA CURBY OUR MUMMY BLOGGER

This weeks Client Love features our favourite mummy blogger Eliza and her three adorable bubs. Eliza's story is unique, Charlie entered the world January 2016 with Jack & Wolfe following close behind arriving December 2016, yes you heard us right, that's 3 bubs in one year, 3 under 1!

We speak with Eliza on how she juggles mum life and her fast growing social media business Twingenuity

Tell us a little about yourself, family, work, passions.
I am 27, live in Bayview on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. I have always lived in the area. We are a young family made up of three gorgeous babies Charlie, Jack & Wolfe all born within 11 months in 2016. Needless to say – we are busy.

When I am not playing mum my passion is cooking. My favourite place to be is the kitchen. I show love through food.

Work for me at the moment is focusing on growing our blog - Twingenuity. At the end of the year I intend to continue my studies in Psychology.

Your story is unique is this what drove you to start a blog? If not what did?
Our story is a unique one. Convinced it was too good not to share I decided to start Twingenuity. When I found out I was pregnant just six weeks after having my first baby Charlie – I took to google in search of some advice on how to do three under one and was stunned to find there was almost no information or support for or from other mothers (I assume those who do have three under one have very little time for writing so in that way maybe it isn’t that surprising…).
And so started ‘Twingenuity’ – a place to share my experience of motherhood, a place to share advice, a platform for support and information, a hub of stories and humour to add light to other mothers lives in a similar (or not so similar) situation.

Without giving too much away tell us a little about your Social Media marketing strategy?
Funnily enough I am actually a complete ‘nube’ when it comes to computers, social media etc etc. I had very little to no idea before creating the blog and can quite honestly say I still have very little haha. My strategy so far is to listen to you girls and take advice which I act on. I try and incorporate Facebook & Instagram as a platform to reach the greatest number of people – in order to push traffic to our blog. Now with over 11k on Instagram our blog traffic has reach over 1000 views a week – which for someone like me – is massive.

Why did you choose social media as a platform for engaging with your followers?
I chose social media as it is such a great tool for reaching masses of people in an informal and un-pushy way. They chose to follow us because they are interested in some degree… So the interest is already there. Then for us it’s just a matter of finding and creating relevant content that our following can relate to and engage with.

What is your approach to engaging with your online market?
We post 6 days week in an ordered fashion so our following sees a predictable pattern. Great photos are what our following respond to best so we try and work on that area – whilst complimenting this with information (eg: Fab Tip Fridays) and links/posts directing to our latest posts.

The blogging industry and especially the topic of motherhood is a huge market, with the introduction of social media, what sets you apart from the rest? And how do you stay true to yourself in such a socially driven marketplace?
These days every second mother is a blogger. And I guess that makes me one of them - I am a part of that group. What sets us apart from the rest is that we don’t use our blog as a place for sharing ‘our’ experience in a story-like fashion, we incorporate relevant and useful information, something mothers can actually ‘use’ to help them in their day to day lives. We offer inspirational stories from other mothers from around the globe (Guest), we offer a hub for dads to come together and share their experience (Daddy Daycare) and provide new/to be mothers with tailored health advice for women both pre and post birth (Health & Lifestyle). We celebrate motherhood in all it's many forms and pride ourselves on supporting all women, all mothers & all parenting styles.
How do we stay true to ourselves…? We don’t stray from what Twingenuity represents. We stay honest, real, down to earth and never replicate other’s styles, rather yet create our own image and space.

Tell us a little about the pros and cons of social media marketing for Twingenuity.
Pro – We are able to reach a large audience with relative ease.
Con – You open up your personal life to strangers who are often very opinionated on your life.

Do you have any social media regrets? What would you have done differently?
No regrets – only mistakes here and there.
I’ve often shared the wrong image or posted on way too many forums at once looking way to keen haha – only to realise and delete later. All part of the learning process!

Quote you live by?
As you think – So you are
As you imagine – So you become.

What’s next for Twingenuity?
Watch this space.
We are expanding our team to include a new member of our health page - Nutritionist Lauren Wilmont – who will be offering our followers nutrition advice for mums and bubs.
We also have big plans for Daddy Daycare…
Stay posted.
